Estimator/Project Manager
Salary:

Qualifications
  • A Construction related diploma and 5 years of construction field operations experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Excellent computer skills and proficiency in B2W Estimate, B2W Track, AGTEK and Microsoft Office.
  • In-depth knowledge of civil engineering infrastructure projects, including earthwork, paving, concrete, water, sewer, drainage, and other utilities
  • Proven leadership skills and ability to delegate work.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to successfully pass a CORI background check is required for certain projects.
  • Have or be able to obtain OSHA 10 certification, first aid/CPR certification.
Responsabilities
  • Coordinate work estimating and bidding on sitework, roadwork and utility projects. Effectively manage all project aspects including change orders, invoicing, claims, engineering support and technology correspondence. Plan and schedule construction, materials procurement, fabrication and delivery sequences;
  • Prepare final construction estimates of the project, focusing on bid document interpretation and clarification during the formal estimate process;
  • Perform plan review and generate trade summaries work with subcontractors and design professionals to resolve all issues related to estimating;
  • Proven progression of project management promotions and responsibilities as result of an excellent performance track record in planning, scheduling, coordinating and managing activities for several of construction projects with budgets as small as $500k to $15M;
  • Perform detailed quantity take-offs for use in determining estimates and project budgets
  • Provide project estimates and surveys, and solicit specialty contractor bids to ensure project compliance and completion; conduct quality control inspections intermediately and in the punch list phase of projects; review workloads and set priorities to meet required project schedules and objectives;
  • Perform cost comparison analysis of subcontractors vs. self-performance to maintain cost controls; review material/subcontractor invoices for approval; reorganize work schedules and flow to reduce costs and improve efficiency; analyze and ensure construction ability and methodology throughout all phases of project road map;
  • Effectively supervise, train, and motivate staff, scheduling company employees with contractors and subcontractors build cooperative teams, staying involved with all staff members to develop and instill a genuine team spirit;
  • Interact with owner's representatives, GC's, architects, engineers, vendors, etc., for estimating & project management of the project
  • Create and maintain a strong communication canal between the site superintendent and the project manager to achieve and exceed expected project results.
Site Superintendent

Qualifications
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints, construction plans and contracts.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Foreman / Superintendent Position
  • A leader, detail oriented and ability to delegate work is a must.
  • Experience working in a self-perform, multi-trade project environment.

  • Understanding of construction layouts, how to operate GPS survey equipment, and basic knowledge of GPS machine control.
Responsabilities
  • Starting at the preconstruction meeting the superintendent will be the leader of field operations team, directing projects from kickoff to completion, always focused on  safety, efficiency and the quality result.
  • Oversee daily field operations, lead your team, train your team, ensure daily production are met by maintaining PEI Contractors standards.
  • As the field leader you will manage work plans, assign responsibilities, mitigate risks, and guarantee an open communication between the field staff and project manager.
  • The superintendent will reinforce and protect PEI contractors' values and interests, by implementing a commitment to safety, problem solving, training field staff and create an environment that motivates collaboration to achieve excellent results and pride.
Heavy Equipment Operator

Qualifications
  • Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record. CDL license is a plus.
  • MA Hoisting License 2A
  • DOT Medical Card * OSHA 10 Safety Training
  • 5+ years’ experience in sitework or roadwork operating excavators, loaders , dozers and other equipment including excavating near underground utilities and structures.
  • Must have the ability to lift, push or pull 50+ pounds, climb heavy equipment, bend and kneel and to traverse uneven terrain. Job includes work out of the equipment as needed to complete the tasks with fellow crew members.
  • Ability to pass background (driving abstract) and drug testing as required by federal and/or state regulations. CORI checks required for certain jobsites.
  • Ability to work 40+ hours per week including weekends as needed on occasion
  • Ability to commute to job sites within 50 miles +/- of Bellingham, MA
  • Ability to occasionally stay out of Town when required (Per Diem provided)

Pipe Layer / laborer

Qualifications
  • Must be able to pass Drug Test & Preplacement Physical
  • Ability to travel depending on project
  • Must have 2-5 years minimum site work / civil Construction Experience
  • Must understand & comply with all company safety policies & procedures
  • Must be able to communicate with equipment operators
  • Ability to bend, push, pull, stoop and/or twist
Responsabilities
  • Able to follow verbal instructions
  • Able to dig trenches to locate utilities using hand or trenching tools
  • Able to handle, fit/cut & install drainage, sewer, water & associated items
  • Able to fine grading trench bottoms to correct elevation, manual placement & compaction of pipe bedding
  • Able to perform strenuous work in varying weather conditions
  • Construction of sewer or drain manholes which includes finishing of poured in place concrete inverts

Site Foreman /Crew Leader

  • The foreman must be able to read blueprints, shoot grades, layout work, conduct toolbox safety meeting each morning, set up the work, and manage the equipment operators and laborers, accurately and productively.
  • You will manage the project timeline, communicate with subcontractors, keep them on schedule and oversee the quality of their work.
  • Keep a daily log of work performed, including uploading progress pictures to our online platform.
  • Must be willing to work overtime and some Saturday's, if needed.
